Last Friday saw the opening of Chilean artist Alessia Innocenti’s first solo show in Barcelona at local art gallery/picture framers Bien Cuadrado. The show, titled ‘Complementos’ brought out the art lovers (and free beer lovers) to see Alessia’s beautiful fragmented works.
Taking seven months to complete the pieces have a very fluid feel to them, looking like they could be hung in any direction providing different and surprising results with each turn.
Each piece looks to be very carefully designed but in fact “they are in fact borne out of an organic process. Each stroke representing a transfer of energy in the moment making intuitive use of light in order to create “Fragmentos de 12 partes” (Fragments of 12 Parts), the centrepiece of this show”
The show runs until the 10th August so if you are in Barcelona I definitely recommend checking it out!
