Sometime ago I received a message on facebook from The Barcelona Academy of Art. It related to some workshops they were helping to organise at ConnectHort, a community garden in Barcelona. The academy were hoping I would be able to share some information about the workshops through my social media pages.
C215 aka Christian Guemy’s stencils must be some of the most recognisable work in the street art world. The French artist has been hitting the streets for over 20 years with his indomitable style.
Another paint jam that took place this summer was a Treze tribute/remembrance event. The event was held in Badia de Valles a short train ride away from Barcelona. July saw international graffiti event, Meeting of styles hold a jam in Barcelona. This is the first Meeting of Styles in Barcelona in god knows how long. Hopefully it’s the start of an annual event here like in many other major cities.
Guate Mao has loads of little stencils dotted around Barcelona. The French artist visited Barcelona again last year and left behind 8 or so pieces. Sadly like a lot of pieces here the vast majority of them have been defaced in some way or other.
