I wrote a few weeks ago about Avant Gard Tudela, the street art festival curated by artist Jorge Rodríguez-Gerada and organised by Tudela-Cultura. Despite everything that’s been going on in the world these days the event went ahead and was a roaring success!
Lockdown might not quite be over but the organisers of Avant Garde are planning to bring colour back to the streets ASAP. This June should see the 7th edition of Avant Garde held in the Spanish town of Tudela, Navarre.
Our good friend Etnik has just completed the fourth wall in his mural project inspired by Platonic geometry. Etnik previously created murals based around water, fire and air. You can now add Earth to that list with this brand new piece in London.
Another paint jam that took place this summer was a Treze tribute/remembrance event. The event was held in Badia de Valles a short train ride away from Barcelona. July saw international graffiti event, Meeting of styles hold a jam in Barcelona. This is the first Meeting of Styles in Barcelona in god knows how long. Hopefully it’s the start of an annual event here like in many other major cities.
