It’s been a while since I’ve done a street art Lisbon post so I’ve decided to share two walls in one post with this double header from Brazilian artist Utopia.
The header piece is a collaborative one alongside Portuguese (I think) writer Nomen in the Calcada de Gloria open air art gallery in the heart of Lisbon’s city centre. The piece itself has Utopia’s green eyed female character lying on her side surrounded by colourful flowers, her right hand is holding onto Nomen’s intricate writing. It’s the little details that make these types of pieces and it took me a couple of looks to notice the faces in the flowers that surround the character. A really pretty looking piece.
This second piece was just a few yards up the street and depicts a rosey cheeked female face blooming from the middle of the flower. I really like the red colour splashes that form the outside of the flower, instead of being soft and delicate they have a slightly more aggressive feel which is a nice juxtaposition against the soft and delicate face.
Two really excellent pieces on a street that I would never tire of walking and exploring.
