Wednesday wall #29

I’ve been meaning to share this collaboration piece by Barcelona residents Axe Colours and Cristian Blanxer for ages but it keeps getting pushed back in the queue for some reason. No more, today is the day!

I can’t remember when the artists actually made this piece and neither shared it on Social media for me to look back. I think it was early July time, a bit like the Endless piece from last week.

The piece simply combines the best of both artists talents. You have the warm autumnal colours that Axe loves, encompassing Cristian’s beautiful portrait of a young woman. The nice contrast of this piece is that despite the warm soothing colours that surround the young woman, she herself looks quite sad and lost in her thoughts.

  1. It’s what I’d call a ‘fine art’ piece, simply because it would look quite at home on a canvass in a gallery. I love this piece and the fact that it is on a wall.
