This week’s Wednesday wall is something pretty damn special. I’ve been speaking about burners recently, well here is a particularly impressive one!

Situated in Barcelona’s Poblenou district this mural is a commissioned collaboration between Canadian artist Mediah and Agpograf Impressors. Apparently this is part of a much larger collaboration project between the two.

Called ‘CINESTRA’IL’ this 80ft x 10ft monster resides on the side of Agpograf’s headquarters. Despite it’s size, it’s actually quite easy to miss. It’s not on my usual route around the area so I could have easily gone months without knowing about it. Sometimes the insane amount of time I spend on Instagram pays dividends!

Mediah’s work is that of graffiti writing mixed with abstraction. This piece feels ‘dynamic’ a word the artists uses a lot to describe his work. To me the piece looks like a futuristic space craft hurtling through space. Also the piece has a similar vibe to the Babs piece I posted last week. Anime mixed with mechanical design.
I’m already looking forward to whatever these two come up with for part two of the project!
You said it for me in your last sentence, this reminded me a lot of that piece too.
Yeah quite interesting to see two artists from completely different parts of the world painting something so specific. I’m sure there are others doing a similar style also.
