Wednesday wall of fame #12

This weeks Wednesday wall is another double header with two pieces from Bronik. The Peruvian artist is a regular on the streets of Barcelona but mostly with her paste up work which can be found in every barrio of the city.

The artist is no stranger to spray however as you can see from these two wonderful pieces. I assume both doors were commission works as they are on the back doors to a bike rental shop and probably would have attracted unwanted police attention otherwise.

Both pieces are really bright and colourful and immediately eye catching even for those of us who don’t pay to much attention to what’s going on around them on their daily travels. In keeping with the artists usual style both doors are all about love and peace with little subtle nods to Peruvian culture that the artist always likes to add to her works. She might live and work in Barcelona but she is very proud of her heritage.

One of the best thing about these works is that since they are most likely commissioned works we will get to enjoy them for years to come and not just for a day or so.
