Wednesday wall of fame #13

Regular readers will know that I love the work of both artists from this weeks Wednesday wall and that I will drop whatever I am doing to go and see new work they have just completed. Since Barcelona is such a fast moving scene this piece only lasted a few days so it was definitely the right move to head there straight from work to check it out.

The artists are of course Bublegum and Mr Oner who are both part of the HAM crew. These two collaborate together a lot and it’s easy to see why as I personally feel they bring the best out of each other.

This piece has a shattered or glitch effect to it with Bublegum’s photorealistic woman split in two with Oner’s blocky writing splintering under and then above the split face.

It’s just a fantastic piece of work that shows the incredible skills of Bublegum to create the female face that looks so realistic. The details in the character’s eyes in particular really are next level work. Also the lettering from Oner is very inventive and flows perfectly alongside the character work.

They also used of one of my favourite colours – purple, so bonus points for that. I’m looking forward to seeing what these two cook up next…
