Wednesday wall of fame #5

This week’s Wednesday wall is by an artist who’s work always catches my eye and always jumps the Instagram post queue – Conse.

Conse is a Barcelona based graffiti artist who’s hyper-realistic work is a constant presence on the streets here. Skulls, friends faces and animals are his favourite mediums, all with an incredible level of detail and realism.

This piece of a jawless skull resplendent in bright pink is dedicated to Spanish MC Josep Valtonyc who has recently been sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in jail after being accused of hate crimes, terrorism and insults to the Spanish king… the accusations all based on his lyrical content on wax. Spanish democracy is alive and well I see..

An excellent piece and really nice to see graffiti artists doing what they can to bring attention to a very serious issue.
